Welcome to Whatever Lies Ahead
First off, I'm DING, that's what some of my friends call me. I would love to use my own name but I prefer the nickname, that's the nickname of my father too. We have the same name. I'm 20 years old, 21 this year 2013. I'm a culinary arts graduate, I haven't done my internship yet due to some problems we have encountered the past year. It has been difficult lately for me and my family. The only thing that kept me going is my love and passion for art. I have practiced sketching, done a few ones. Also I've done a bit of painting. I'm not that good like the others though. In fact, everything that I have done, ain't that good compared to others but I don't like comparing my work though. I just wanna get that out there for some of you who might interpret that as a self insecurity issues or whatever. I don't have the talent like any others out there, everyone has their own style but for some reason I haven't developed mine yet. Hopefully soon I can develop mine and show them to all of you. All of us start from at the bottom, that's why we call it a START right?
The first blog I have done was the poetry one, I have only written a few due to my busy schedule before. I was still in school that time and to be honest, I only write when inspiration strikes and for some reason that inspiration seldom strikes. I don't know why, hmm. . The blog is called Unknown Source and as what the title says, it comes from an unknown source. I remember writing my first poem, I was sitting in a coffee shop drinking coffee (obviously). I was a coffee addict before I had all these medications. I was sitting there with a pen and a notebook, staring at strangers passing by. I just love watching people do their ordinary things, living their lives happy. Well, I can't say that entirely because I can't really see what lies behind their masks. . . So there I was, sitting, watching them pass by, suddenly I felt the urge to write, it's like the weirdest thing that happened really, I opened my green notebook and words just kept on flowing. My mind was just filled with ideas and those ideas were translated into words/phrases and those were transformed into writing. In that moment I thought of nothing BUT the things I wanted to write. . . After that, I relaxed, haven't even read what I wrote yet, I was still in awe. I paused for a while, then thought to myself, that was just the best thing that ever happened. I read it and it was good, I never even believed that I can do such thing. Since then I tried going back there searching for some inspiration, there are a few but in time it just faded. That was the time that I started looking for some place else to hang out and search for inspirations. .
It's not just poetry when it comes to literature or writing, I also wanted to write short stories. Even dreamt of writing a novel but I doubt I can do that, I'm not even good at stretching thoughts and ideas. I've been having a hard time about that. Well, maybe someday when I have time I can learn it and really make it. Nothing is impossible as long as you have the will to do it.
Aside from those, I love cooking, mostly pastries, I love baking cakes and such. I have loads of ideas with that, the only thing that I need to develop is my decorating skills. I once made a cake and in my mind it was such a beautiful cake but once I made it, it's nothing compared to what I have imagined. I also have a blog for this, it's called Self Proclaimed Chef. I named it that due to the lack of experience in the field of culinary arts. All my life I've been longing to be called a Chef but for now, Self proclaimed is okay for me. LOL.
Photography, I just started doing it, I'm currently practicing on the technicalities of it. I'm a big fan of photography, I have a few for now since I just started it. Soon you will see lots of pictures here on this very site. After all, photography is the sole purpose of this site. I just wanted to share everything I have experienced in art. So you guys can see how passionate I am even though I'm not yet that good. . . .
Who knows, maybe soon I may learn how to play lots of instruments and make a new site for that but I think it's too much. Though I would love to learn that too. For now I'll just concentrate on my three blogs. I guess this is all I can write for now. Maybe I'll give it some updates later on as soon as this one can stand on its own.
